Terms & Conditions

The basis for working with CodeworkLab.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to use of codeworklab.com and purchases of CodeworkLab’s digital services. Before payment, the quotation or project agreement will identify the contracting business, scope, price and relevant contact details. A specific written agreement takes precedence on project-specific matters, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Our services

We provide website development, mobile application development, UI/UX design, custom software, payment integrations, messaging integrations and related support. The deliverables, exclusions, milestones, revision allowances, acceptance criteria and support coverage must be agreed in writing before work begins.

3. Quotations and orders

A website enquiry is a request for discussion, not an accepted order. An engagement is confirmed when both parties accept a written quotation or agreement and any agreed initial payment is received. You must have authority to enter the agreement and provide accurate billing and project information.

4. Prices and payments

Your quotation or invoice specifies the currency, taxes, total charges and payment schedule. Confirm the displayed amount and currency before paying. Online payments are processed through the provider identified at checkout, which may include PayHere. Payment provider approval does not represent endorsement of our services. Additional work or charges require your agreement before billing.

5. Electronic delivery and project timing

Services are delivered remotely through agreed channels such as email, project tools, repositories, staging links or deployment to agreed hosting. No physical shipping is involved. Delivery dates and milestones are stated in the project agreement. Timelines depend on timely content, access, decisions and approvals; we will communicate material delays and agree revised dates where necessary.

6. Client responsibilities and changes

You are responsible for providing lawful content and authorised access, reviewing work and securing any permissions needed for supplied materials. Scope changes require a written agreement on cost and timing. Do not send card details or sensitive credentials through unsecured correspondence; agree a suitable access method with us.

7. Review and acceptance

We will provide deliverables for review against the agreed scope and address reported non-conformities. Any review period, acceptance process and defect support period will be specified in the project agreement. Delivery or payment alone does not waive rights relating to defective or undelivered services.

8. Ownership and licences

Ownership and handover terms for custom deliverables will be set out in the project agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, rights to project-specific deliverables transfer after full payment. Pre-existing tools, reusable components, open-source software and third-party assets remain subject to their respective ownership and licence terms. Third-party fees and renewals are separate where disclosed.

9. Third-party platforms and support

Hosting companies, app stores, payment gateways and messaging providers control their own approvals, availability, fees and rules. We cannot guarantee approval by these providers or uninterrupted third-party operation. Maintenance, backups, updates and response commitments are included only where expressly agreed. We remain responsible for our agreed integration work.

10. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation and refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy, linked below. If we cannot proceed with an accepted order, we will notify you and refund payment for services not supplied, subject to applicable law and any valid authorised third-party commitments. You may raise payment concerns with us or your payment provider; nothing here restricts lawful dispute rights.

11. Acceptable use and confidentiality

Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or request unlawful services. Both parties should protect confidential project information and use it only for the engagement or as permitted by law. We may suspend affected work for material non-payment or misuse after reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue, unless urgent action is necessary.

12. Responsibility and disputes

Each party remains responsible for its obligations under the agreement and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot legally be limited. Any project-specific liability limits or governing law must be stated in the written agreement and remain subject to applicable law. Contact info@codeworklab.com first so we can seek a practical resolution; this does not prevent access to regulators, courts or other lawful remedies.

13. Privacy and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains handling of personal information. We may update these website terms with a revised date. Changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted project agreement without mutual agreement or a legal requirement.
